Just fyi. I did the 1/2 and basically quit. i've run 2 times and biked 1 since the race. Not what I was hoping for. I'm paying for it today. As stress enters my life, as it often does, I'm finding it hard to handle. I feel like taking a long jog right now. If I want to have another good year at Glenwood, I must start my exercise regimen. And I think I will have to go back to morning workouts even during the school year since I will be home schooling. YIKES!!!

Most importantly, I need to get organized. Lay out your outfit the night before, move your desk and get ready to slip slid away the pounds and stress!!!!

Ran the 1/2 in 2:32. Not awfull. I felt good up until mile 13. Just so you know Juli, you are not a superstar. Don't try to pick up the pace until the LAST mile. I started at mile 12 and it really ruined mile 13. I guestimate it added at least 3 minutes to my total time. Oh well. Live and learn.

Now what is the next challenge? It was Harvest Days, it still is. I still haven't broken 10/mile pace for a 5k. That is goal number one. but wouldn't it be great if I did 9/miles? I think that is a lofty goal though, so maybe I will shoot for 9.5.

Get on your bike with the girls today. And go for a walk with a houseparent or alison tomorrow. Do one of those Friday, walking at the zoo saturday, rest Sunday. Monday you are back in the game!

I've been following the hal Higdon's half marathon training program for the novice the past 6 weeks almost religiously. I moved the days back so long runs are on Saturdays adn I usualy skip Sundays. My cross training is always Cathe muscle endurance weights and I do speed work or hills on Wednesdays and skip the strength.

I skipped last week though because of vacation. I skipped the 10K, but did the 9 mile yesterday. It was an awful run. I didn't hydrate on top of my vacation hyates. Saturday will be better. The rest of the long runs have gone very well.

The half is Aug 2nd, 2 weeks!!! I waiver from scared to confident as the time approaches. By the way. Through this training I have felt very good physically, but my wieght has stayed at exactly the same throughout until I started these pills. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully losing weight will also bring down my times for the 5K in Sept.

Still sick. going to the dr. today. did long run Saturday. Went well. did weights yesterday, no core though. Hopefully I'll quit coughing. Also, Luci throwing up 2 nights in a row and Daniel peed on himself last night without underwear on in bed. I'M TIRED!

sickness and back pain are bringing me down. I did walk my long run saturday? or Monday? I walked today day off tomorrow and then planning on getting back into it on Friday. Been skipping weights although I need to get come core together

I have been following the plan this week. Skipped tues workout, but made it up on wed.

4 miles today and then I left my long sleeve shirt on the path and had to go back for it which probably added another .5-1 mile. Overall a very nice run and I practiced a pick up at the end.

although I haven't been updating, I have kept exercising. spinning 2 days/week and weight class at least every other week if not every week plus some running on the weekend and pilates or walking running.

This week I started without the gym. On hold until Oct. so I can train outside for the 1/2 marathon.I stuck with the program this week and did 4 miles this morning. It didn't go too bad. I did laps around campus and every mile got faster. good to know that a warm up is probably a good thing for me. so Cathe and running with a little biking every now and then is the plan till oct. If I can figure out how to fit in swimming, I will do a tri again.

update for the week. weights on Monday, spinning on tues and thurs. Went to Dwight wednesday. Was majorly sore from monday's workout and I only used 5 pound weights!!! good thing to take a day off.

I have not gotten into it yet and I am feeling the effects. I feel like I need a massage every day in my shoulders. My hip hurts and every now and then I have a pinch in a foot or knee area. Not good. Gotta' get going.

Just FYI in case I ever decide it would be a good idea to quit my exercise 4-5 days/week again. Gotta get back into it.

Just for the record I haven't run or anything in a week and I ate Ms. Mueller's chocolate chip cookies every day, but still lost 3 pounds!!! What up with that?

did a good job this week. I worked out an hour 5 days and I partially made up for the 2 I ddin't with 1/2 hour swim this morning

I learned this week that if I miss a workout on Fridays, it's hard to make it up. Best bet is go early Friday mornings.

running burns the most calorie, 12 per minute, but spinning keeps it between 6-9

stepping kept it above 6

but I don't think I lost weight despite my exercise efforts. I will have to keep up with food logging and do better at it

went to "my gym" today. It was glorious. Ran the whole way and ended on top! took an extra trip around campus to make it 1 hour total, exactly. I next is to move to 1 and 1/2 hours.

Had to visit dad in the hospital and my husband ditched me for sledding which was supposed to be my exercise in light of happenings. Things happen

Yesterday, I went to the gym in the morning and did the treadmill for 14 minutes. I climbed at full incline for 2 minutes then turned around and went backwards up full incline. It was hard, but I hung in there. Then I swam in the pool for 25 minutes. That was great! I was worried swimming wasn't getting me a high enough heart rate, but for the first 2 laps it was. Then my monitor filled with water!

Today, I decided it woudl be easier to do weights at home. I got everything together last night, but this morning I coudln't find the remote. Bummer, I entered bodybugg stuff instead and that was helpful. I realized that my hard work yesterday paid off. The extra stuff I ate last night still caused me to have a calorie deficit! Yeah

just wanted to note that I'm still exercising, just not logging. It has been the holidays and that has definately thown me off, also facebook! So I am going to try to get going again.

This week so far I have done excellent. I did the weight class on Monday. Spinning on Tuesday, adn I went this morning for 15 minutes of jogging followed by 20 minutes of swimming. I would like to get to morning workouts by 5:00 so I have a full hour. I went in the morninng becasue I thought Luci and Daniel would be too sick for the health club. I'm also going to do mornings next week and go full force on potty training. We'll see...
